Followers, I present you with an example of an argument ad hominem. Rather than dealing with the hard facts (you know, facts like “abortions end a life that is human in nature”), they choose to cast aspersions on those who are making the argument. The problem with this poster is that arguments don’t have gender. A good argument against abortion stand and falls on the merits of its premises, not the person making the argument. So the question then becomes what happens when a woman uses the same argument a man does against abortion? Is she disqualified because she’s not feminist enough?
tl;dr: An argument is an argument and who makes that argument is irrelevant; you still have to deal with the argument.
