For people who flooded my ask.
I’m pro-choice.
Because what others do is none of my business.
But for myself I’m pro-life.
Because I could never hurt a being.
So, there.
So you think abortion hurts a human being, but it’s okay when others do it?
Yea, because a minority, or a slim majority should never have the right to push their beliefs and restrictions upon anyone
Fair enough, if it’s only a belief. And that might work for the young lady who’s post I reblogged, but it doesn’t work for me. I’m not making a preference claim, like “I’m not a fan of abortion because I think it hurts a human being.” I’m making a truth claim: “Abortion is morally wrong because it ends the life of a human being for reasons that are not adequate.” Which is why I find the young lady’s statement incomprehensible: If a human being is really dying in abortion, it is morally necessary to oppose abortion as strongly as legally possible.
