For people who flooded my ask.

I’m pro-choice.

Because what others do is none of my business.

But for myself I’m pro-life.

Because I could never hurt a being.

So, there.

So you think abortion hurts a human being, but it’s okay when others do it?

I don’t think that’s what she meant; I think she meant abortion is never “okay”, but that she doesn’t have the right to tell someone that because in her opinion it’s morally wrong, they aren’t allowed to do it.

Yeah, that’s pretty much how I feel. I don’t agree with abortion as a moral choice, but I don’t feel like I have the right or desire to force my own morality on others. I realize that it’s a broad issue with a huge spectrum to be considered and I’m not so up my own ass that I don’t understand how far removed from it I am. I’m gay; I will probably never be pregnant. I don’t know what it’s like, facing that kind of a decision. So I try not to judge or make others live up to my ideals. Thus, pro-choice and pro-life simultaneously.

That’s like saying “I don’t agree with murder, but I don’t want to force my morality on someone.”
