- He’s a Mormon.
In spite of their dodgy theology, Mormons share many of the same moral principles that Christians do. Thus, on issues such as abortion, Mitt will, hopefully, stand for what I stand for. He’ll do a much better job than Obama, at least.
- He’s a businessman.
I hear yah: Corporate America is evil. They certainly can be. But if the goal of the president is the betterment of America, then having an honest businessman as our leader might not be the worst idea. At the very least, he’ll know what he’s doing when it comes to balancing the budget, and getting the economy back on track. Again, Obama’s track record eliminates him as the better option. The deficits and national debt under Obama are wonderfully, and unfortunately, cold hard facts.
- He’s not Obama.
I don’t care to hash out every bad decision Obama has made over the past 4 years; I don’t have the time. But the big ones for me are signing the NDAA, which allows him to indefinitely detain US citizens (a violation of the 4th and 5th amendments), and his constant assault on the 1st amendment. The POTUS is supposed to uphold the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. Any failure to do that is a failure to truly be the president. Obama has deliberately and repeatedly barraged the Constitutional rights and freedoms that we have, and I cannot abide that. Even if Obama had a spectacular track record in other areas—for me this is a huge if, but I won’t debate it—this alone would be enough for me to despise his Administration.
So there you have it! Three reason’s I’m voting for Romney. What do you think about that?
